Dear CHA Community,
This week the 5th grade class presented their Wax Museum, providing the student community with a uniquely interactive and engaging experience to meet the likes of Nikolas Tesla, Bhagat Singh, Clara Barton, Mary Cassatt, Amelia Earhart, Albert Einstein and Theodore Roosevelt to name a few. Interesting facts were heard, boards listing their accomplishments admired and students enjoyed their walkabout learning. All in all, a dynamic learning environment for everyone to explore.
Leader in Me Parent Survey – Thank you to the119 families that have completed the survey so far which is about 55%. Our goal is to get at least 80% so the link will remain open for another week. The survey should take you approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and you can find it here.
Earth Week - The CHA Green Team and students are excited to share what is in store for Earth Week, April 15-19, this year!
- Monday: Guess the Weight of the Honey Jar - In honor of the importance of bees, we have a huge jar of honey. Visit us in the lobby to make your best guess. The winner gets to keep the honey!
- Tuesday: No Lights for the Morning - Classrooms are challenged to try to use natural light and keep the room lights off for the morning, conserving energy!
- Wednesday: Recycled Art – Stop by the lobby and add your touch to a community collage.
- Thursday: Dress Like Your Favorite Endangered Species – Or any animal, really.
- Friday: Plant a Sunflower – Stop by the lobby and plant a sunflower seed to take home.
Spring Musical Videos – The link we sent out last week was a little problematic on some devices. Here is one that works better: https://bit.ly/2HYOvqY . You do not need a Dropbox account, but you will need to download if you want to watch more than the first fifteen minutes.
