Leader in Me

Chestnut Hill Academy became an accredited Leader in Me School in 2010. By integrating the program into an already strong curriculum, our curriculum became even stronger. Adopting a common school-wide language helped change a ‘good’ school culture to a ‘great’ school culture. Integrating this language into organizational structures (professional learning, communities, building leadership team, etc.) has strengthened them considerably, and by infusing this new language into already strong instructional practices, those practices have become stronger. The Leader in Me process helps develop the essential life skills and characteristics staff and students need in order to thrive in the 21st century.

What is Leader in Me?

Leader in Me is a K–12 whole-school improvement model and process that helps educators and families collaborate together in developing students as life-ready leaders. As administrators and staff work to grow a leadership culture at school, parents/guardians can reinforce what is being taught at home with shared paradigms and principles. The result of a partnership between home and school will be students who are prepared for college, career, and life. Chestnut Hill Academy has been a Leader in Me school since 2009.
