Chestnut Hill Academy became an accredited Leader in Me School in 2010 and achieved lighthouse status in 2025.
The Leader in Me process strengthened our already strong curriculum and elevated our school culture. A shared, school‑wide language brought clarity, consistency, and unity—helping transform a good culture into a great one.
Becoming a Lighthouse School affirmed this growth. It recognized our deep commitment to leadership development, our aligned systems, and the way these practices empower every student and staff member to thrive as 21st‑century leaders.
What is Leader in Me?
Leader in Me is a K–12 whole-school improvement model and process that helps educators and families collaborate together in developing students as life-ready leaders. As administrators and staff work to grow a leadership culture at school, parents/guardians can reinforce what is being taught at home with shared paradigms and principles. The result of a partnership between home and school will be students who are prepared for college, career, and life.
