Dear CHA Community,

This weekend we gather in support of Chestnut Hill Academy as CHAPTER hosts its annual Auction at the Marriott.  Months of planning have gone into creating an evening that offers entertainment and a sense of camaraderie amongst parents, that is until the bidding begins. With many parent volunteers, your generous donations and your support Saturday evening our students will continue to benefit and grow in their love of learning as they continue to achieve academic success and social/emotional growth and development.  Thank you for your continued support of CHA!

Math is Cool - After nearly 5 months of preparation (with a long, deserved break during the holiday season :)), the CHA Math-is-Cool team is ready for the challenge on March 9! Fifth graders, Jai, Kai, Justin and Oliver have been meeting at the Bellevue Library almost every Sunday afternoons since last October.  In addition to practicing on the Math-is-Cool problem sets from the past years, they synergized and had fun during the meets.  It took persistence and commitment on their part.  Kudos to the kids (and the parents who drove them).  If you wonder what kind of problems the kids were solving, try this - How many digit is 2^100 (2 to the 100th power)?   This year there will be about 160 elementary teams participating in this event.  Most of the schools send 3-5 teams!  Jai, Justin, Kai and Oliver would love to see more kids participating in this awesome event next year!  If you want to find out more about this event for next year, check out http://www.academicsarecool.com/.

April Lunch Order - The online order form is now open for ordering hot lunches for the month of April. You can find the menu and the order form here. The form will remain open until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30th. Please email chef@chestnuthillacademy.com if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.

Spring Extracurricular Classes - As well as the return of your favorites, we are also excited to add two new additions to the lineup. Reps Basketball is a comprehensive basketball training program open to all 4th and 5th Graders of any ability which will be offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Young Sharks is a based experiential entrepreneurship program open to 3rd through 5th Grade and will run on Tuesdays. You can find information for all programs on our website here, this is a link to the calendar and we have included a table below with days, grades, contacts and clickable links for your convenience.
