Dear Parents,

We’ve had another great week with your children and are looking forward to getting our academic groups started next week. In your Friday Folder, you’ll find a letter explaining your child’s placement for math along with information about where to find homework on the website. Your child’s weekly schedule is also in the Friday Folder, and they have a copy in their binder.

Please join us for Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 21st from 6:30-8:00.

Homework

Dear Parents,

Students have started using their planners in class to write down homework assignments. They should be looking at this organizational tool nightly to help them remember what assignments are due and if there are any special events coming up at school. Parents are welcome to add reminders for their children in the planners as well.

Mrs. Taylor assigned a Reading Log today that will be due next Monday. Students wrote down the assignment in the Monday, Sept. 18 section of their planners, and Mrs. Taylor stamped the planners.

Dear Parents,

It has been a lot of fun for us to begin getting to know your fantasic children and to hear about their summer adventures. Interesting events this week at school included a visit from Blitz (the Seahawk mascot), a fire drill, an assembly with a visit from Chippy, and our annual Walk-a-Thon kickoff. Hopefully, the stories you’re hearing at home are good ones and your children are excited for all of the activities we’ve been talking about.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email us, or we can schedule a time to meet in person.
