Summer Camp

Welcome to Camp Explorations! Whether you are a returning camper, or new to Camp Explorations, this summer will be sure to deliver a rewarding experience. Each day campers (ages 5-12) explore the world around them through varying themed experiences.  Activities, workshops, guest speakers, and field trips all help ignite curiosity and awaken the explorer in each of us. This year we are excited to offer a daily drop-in option to supplement our weeklong, full summer camp experience. Both options are staffed by seasoned childcare professionals that create a positive environment for growth throughout the summer. CHA families will receive a 10% Early Bird Discount on enrollment (not including the registration fee or Extended Day) for registration forms submitted by May 19th. Early Bird Discount does not apply to the School’sOUT! and Back Up Care Systems. 

Which option is right for me?   

Weekly: Summer fun for the whole week! When registering, select the week-long option which includes age-group themed activities and exciting field trips that vary each week. The weekly option is best for recurring campers and those wanting the full summer camp experience at Chestnut Hill Academy. Back-Up Care and Microsoft School’s Out! benefits can be applied to full week registrations.  

DailyCome and join Chestnut Hill Academy for a day or two. This option is great for parents needing care for single day use during the week or for a limited time during the summer. This is also ideal for Back-Up Care users wanting single days. Because attendance varies daily, this program is limited to onsite programs at Chestnut Hill and the group does not regularly attend field trips. This multi-age program coincides with the same weekly themes and focuses on art, science, engineering, and exploration within those themes. 

Camp Hours: Camp is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00-4:00. with a 15 minute grace period either side. You have the option to sign up for the whole week, or individual days. Extended Day is available every camp day from 7:00-9:00 a.m. and from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Campers must be picked up by 6:00 p.m. or a late pick-up fee of $10/minute will be incurred. 

Cancellation Policies: Enrollment changes for Weekly Camp must be made at least one full week in advance, in writing (email acceptable), by Friday at 5:00 p.m., and 24 hours in advance for Daily Camp. If you need to cancel a camp registration for any reason, please notify CHA as soon as possible at cha@brighthorizons.com.  Registrants will be charged for the full week/day of camp if less than 1 week/24 hours’ notice of cancellation is given, or if child is enrolled but registrant does not attend camp.

How do I register?

Using School’s Out! Benefit (Microsoft families)

  • Please log into the Bright Horizons back-up care website here to register and make reservations. To use the Schools Out! Program please select ‘Make a Reservation’ then select ‘Special Program’ on step 1 to display the Schools Out! Chestnut Hill Academy option. You can also go to ‘My Benefits’ then the Special Programs section and select ‘Make a reservation’ from the Chestnut Hill Academy option there. If you have any issues registering or making a reservation, please call 1-877-BH-CARES (1-877-242-2737) for assistance. 
  • Please pay the Summer Camp Registration fee at the CHA store here
  • Please complete the Sunscreen & Insect Repellent Form, before your child attends camp.
  • If your child has asthma or allergies that require medication, we will need you to complete an Administration of Medicine form for each medication, before your child attends camp.
  • If you child has a medical condition or illness (other than asthma or allergies) that requires medication we will need you to submit an Individual Health Care Plan as well as the  Administration of Medicine form, before your child attends camp.
  • No fees are collected directly by the school for camp, lunch or childcare.
  • Lunch is provided free of charge, but please use our CHA Lunch Order Form to select the lunches your child requires.

Using Back-Up Care Benefit

  • To use camp through your employer’s Back-Up Care benefit, please log into the Bright Horizons back-up care website here to register and make reservations. When making a reservation, on step 3 select Chestnut Hill Academy as your first choice for care. If you have any issues registering or making a reservation, please call 1-877-BH-CARES (1-877-242-2737) for assistance.
  • Please complete the Sunscreen & Insect Repellent Form, before your child attends camp.
  • If your child has asthma or allergies that require medication, we will need you to complete an Administration of Medicine form for each medication, before your child attends camp.
  • If you child has a medical condition or illness (other than asthma or allergies) that requires medication we will need you to submit an Individual Health Care Plan as well as the  Administration of Medicine form, before your child attends camp.
  • Lunch costs $4.50 per meal. Please use our CHA Lunch Order Form to select the lunches your child requires. If your child is enrolled at CHA this will be collected via ACH, if your child is not enrolled in CHA you should pay for the total number of lunches ordered via credit card here.
  • No other fees are collected directly by the school for registration, camp or childcare.

Current CHA Family Not Using Benefits 

  • Please complete the CHA Camp Registration Form.
  • The Registration Fee of $50, Daily Camp fee of $85, and Weekly Camp Fee of $400 will be billed in arrears via ACH.
  • Lunch costs $4.50 per meal. Please use our CHA Lunch Order Form to select the lunches your child requires. Lunch fees will be billed in arrears via ACH.
  • Extended Day fees are $20/hour or $60/week for extended day, to be billed in arrears via ACH.

Non-CHA Family Not Using Benefits

  • Please complete the CHA Camp Registration Form. Please keep the confirmation email you receive as you will need the link it contains if you wish to make alterations to your registration.
  • Please complete the CHA Health Forms at the bottom of this page, before your child attends camp.
  • Please pay the following fees using your credit card here, before your child attends camp:
    • One time Registration Fee of $50
    • Daily Camp Fee of $85 per day
    • Weekly Camp Fee of $400 per week
    • Lunch fees should also be paid in advance. Lunch costs $4.50 per meal. Please use our CHA Lunch Order Form here to select the lunches your child requires.

CHA Health Forms for Schools Out! and Back-Up Care Campers

Sunscreen and Insect Repellant - required by all campers who reserve via Microsoft Schools Out! or Bright Horizons Back-Up care.

Administration of Medication Form - required if your child has asthma or allergies that require medication. One form per medication please.

Individual Health Plan and an Administration of Medication Form - required if your child has a medical condition or illness (other than asthma or allergies) that requires medication. One form per medication please.
