Summer Camp and Intersessions
Please note that we are currently full for Weeks 10, 11, and 12 of summer camp. We still encourage you to complete a Camp Registration Form, and we will subsequently place you on a waitlist for those weeks and will notify you should availability open up. Thank you!
Each summer, Chestnut Hill Academy opens its doors to the community to offer an enriching and exciting day camp program. Camp Explorations is twelve weeks of summer fun, filled with age appropriate, creative activities, learning experiences, and social and academic opportunities. We provide a safe, professional, and exciting location for children to spend their summer, incorporating math, science, cooking, music, and technology, Each week your camper will also look forward to field trips and special visitors. Camp Explorations is also proud to be part of the Microsoft School’s Out! and Bright Horizons BUCA programs. Not sure which program to use? Click on the graphic for help making the decision.
Our Camp Explorations Information Packet is available to download below. We also offer week-long camps called Intersessions during the winter, mid-winter, and spring breaks. These weeks focus on a theme as well, and have many of the same activities that our summer school offers. Please email Camp Advisor Monique Stuart-German or call 425.372.2800 for information.
Families may register at any time for Camp Explorations. Clubs will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Early registration is recommended to ensure we have a place for your child at camp. Registrations must be received at least 24 hours prior to the course commencing. Cancellations must be made at least one week in advance. If we do not receive your cancellation in writing at least a week in advance, or if you do not bring your child to camp once he/she is registered, you will be billed for the entire week.
The weekly price for Camp Explorations 2017 is $350. There is also a $50 non-refundable registration fee which reserves your child’s space at camp and buys him/her a camp T-shirt and water bottle. CHA families will receive a 10% discount on enrollment (not including the registration fee or Extended Day) if they submit their registration form by May 19, 2017. CHA families who are also Microsoft families are not eligible for both discounts. We recommend that you take advantage of the Microsoft benefit and register your child for camp online. Lunch is available at camp for $4.50 per day, but there is no charge if you signed up throught Schools Out!
Please plan to pay for each week of camp on or before your child’s first day of attendance. This includes families who’ve registered through School’s Out; your Microsoft benefit gives you a reduced weekly fee ($350), but Microsoft does not pay us for your child’s attendance. Campers with outstanding balances may be restricted from camp.
For those of you utilizing a Back-Up Care Advantage (BUCA) benefit, or the Microsoft School’s Out program, billing will now occur directly through the upgraded Back-Up Care registration portal. When completing your child’s registration, you will likely be prompted for payment information, and your credit card will subsequently be billed based on utilization. This means that you will not need to write a check to us for your BUCA or School’s Out camp days, and you will not see the payment drafted from us through ACH. Exceptions to this rule are the lunch fees for Back-Up Care days, which will necessitate payment made to CHA or drafted through ACH, as well as the registration fee of $50 for School’s Out campers.
Camp hours are 9:00-4:00. Extended Day is available from 7:00-9:00 a.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m. If your child is registered through School’s Out!, you will not be charged for before and after camp care. For non-Microsoft families, the weekly rate is $50, or you may pay $20 per hour if you don’t use Extended Day very often.
Grace Period: Campers not attending Extended Day must be dropped off no earlier than 8:45 a.m. and picked up no later than 4:15 p.m. Campers arriving earlier or later than those times will be charged for Extended Day care. There will be a $10.00 per minute charge for any child picked up after 6:00 p.m.
